That’s as rejected as it gets. 🙂 Given what happens, I wonder what would have really changed if Malva had joined? There’s several moments where something could have caused a total party kill- and maybe worse.
Holy moly. That’s _harsh_. Do we know yet why her tagging along would screw everything up? Is it because she would make a mistake in there, or because she’s needed elsewhere meanwhile?
@ Intrebute:
Not explicitly mentioned, but we can make guesses from what’s going to happen to the party in the journey.
Short answer, she dies for nothing or indirectly causes a total party kill.
Slightly longer answer, the party’s survival heavily depends on Lilith alone, and Malva tagging along would force Lilith to either sacrifice someone (likely Malva or San) or spread herself too thin and ultimately failing.
@ 00m:
I am guessing the case is that Malva being there would potentially distract Ryn, and if something happened to Ryn, Ilias would be distracted, and so on so forth, so her being there would be more of a domino effect of failure. It’s not exactly that she’s not competent, because she is, as someone who potentially knows spells Lilith doesn’t. It also could be a case of Lilith not being able to keep track of more moving parts in motion, because once they are in the thick of it, there’s no going back, no unringing the bell, and she needs to be able to kind of “monitor” the world lines as they go along this venture.
