I don’t know what the Amber Monolith is, or who made it, but there’s sure to be some very old bodies in there. Scarlet’s got ambition. It’s good to have a goal when escaping in the middle of the night.

Copper hydroxide is insoluble, though. When I first saw the pool, I thought it was probably highly acidic, and that the color would be due to highly soluble copper sulfate, which would cast a different light, shall we say, on the idea of getting into it. But real-world chemistry in a science fantasy webcomic, and all that.
