If the red-haired one is Scarlet, is the blue-haired one her boyfriend? This must be where the time-skip is. ‘Shame, younger Scarlet was a cute adventurer. She just had to defeat an armed patrol, enter the house, goto the Machine, find a way to turn it on, and decide if she wanted it to warm the planet at “Potato”, “Popcorn” or “Defrost”. Probably in an alien language, a password, and some lock keys. She’d likely make everyone angry over turning off the coin-growing function to do so. Energy or matter, after all.
