The fact that she caught herself so immediately and firmly is a very, very good sign for Woo. She really wants this to work…

I’m liking Lily more and more as a character as she gets fleshed out.
I was going to say “Raccoons don’t really growl.” But then I realized that that’s still about as close to the sound they do make as you can get with the Roman alphabet.
Lily may be upset with herself, but I notice she didn’t offer to share that last piece of fish.
I don’t know woo, it looks cute when she TRIES but when she does it…
If there’s never a Sandra & Woo Valentine with that last line in it, I’ll be severely disappointed.
I believe I’ve actually said that exact phrase to a girl.
I find all three panels amusing in that they’re sitting at a “table” like humans.
She’s such a wild spirit. How will a domestic raccoon like Woo ever keep up with her untamed soul…?
Then again, he’s kinda like an outdoor cat. Free to come and go, somewhat wilder than the typical critter. Perhaps I’m over-thinking a lighthearted comic, but since there’s a clear continuity, is Woo chipped and/or registered to Sandra?

That Lily gets more interesting on each strip! Still, can’t wait until Woo tries to introduce her to Sandra… I know Woo can talk human, but can Lily even understand them?

Ha! that Lily reminds me of my “first wife” when I was reaching for the last can of beer in the fridge. Just like Lily she was damn cute trying to get the beer out of my hand while trying to rip my throat out, I let her have it as I still had more out in the truck but that was the last real cold one. >;)

@Iron Ed: Come to think of it, we don’t see her actually eat it, just snatch it away behind her. It’s not present in the third frame, so I’m wondering if she actually ate it, or if she dropped it in her self-horror.
@BobisOnlyBob: We know he’s had his rabies shots, and probably other immunizations. In theory, he should have some kind of tag to indicate it, so that if someone claims he bit them they won’t kill him and dissect to find out if he’s infected. But we never see him wearing a collar, so… Maybe he has an ear tattoo that we’re just not seeing, or else concealed it somewhere in his fur so the forest residents won’t find it off-putting?
@shenhibiki: I’ve gotten the impression that some of the other forest residents have the ability to understand humans. Could be wrong on that, though.

@Iron Ed & DanialArin: Well, we’ve well seen how flighty these animals can be. I think she probably grabbed the piece of food, realized her mistake, and, in an effort to free her paws so as to cover her face in embarrassment, put the food in the only convenient place: her mouth. :3

The number of humans I know who can override instincts, I could count on one hand… and that includes myself. Over 90% of the problems I have with humans are precisely because they cannot overcome their primitive instincts, and are too deluded to realise it.
