    Eh?

    1. “We’re letting you kids cook for now. But the moment you start any real crap, we’re coming in and stomping EVERYBODY out. Have fun, now.”

      1. Or to put it bluntly, “Don’t start none, won’t be none.”

  2. so protesting classifies as undermining public order?

    1. On the one hand, it could be argued that protesting is a direct attempt to undermine public order, depending on the behaviour and goals of the protestors. On the other, that is precisely the specious argument used by regimes that want an excuse to suppress protest by direct means.

      1. Why does it have to be “specious”? It’s a legitimate function of government to maintain public order and citizen safety, and setting a clear standard for what that entails isn’t inherently bad the way you imply.

Not to mention, every “regime”, no matter how democratic, has its biases as to what it deems appropriate vs. inappropriate subjects to protest. Just look at the difference in treatment of civil rights protestors vs covid policy protesters in various Western countries.

    2. Public order is a bit vague, but most likely it’s not. I can not see rioting as not violating public order however.

    3. That is not what he said at all.
He merely stated that “We will not disturb anyone as long as you play nice.” In a very formal and respectful manner.

    4. Seems pretty clear to me he’s just saying “keep it civil”, which is very good advice.

  3. “BEWARE THE WHITE WITCH”: A writing on a wall in some underground area, which Scarlet and Tibor explored during their time in the wilderness (SFOS #062). Probably in the Crystal Forest Hills – Scarlet told Julius in SFOS #057 that they would go “northeast, towards the Crystal Flower Hills and the Aurora Plains”).

  4. To be honest, the conditions set by the royal guard are, at least from what they say, not different than what would happen in a democracy: Police forces arrive and ideally neutrally protect those who remain lawful during their protests.

  5. As story flow goes, this will mean the tear gassing won’t be unfounded. Now we just have to wait for Scarlet to find embezzling proof or something by “esteemed Minster Leyh”.
That’s quite the mustache for a fox. Are there larger versions where he has to incorporate his entire colour-difference lower face fur into it?

  6. Talking is fine, but If there is one fire or one broken window we will be bringing down the hammer.

  7. «Your official announcement has been successfully ignored.✅»

  8. I think the question of how much responsibility she has for the actions of those listening to her will be the most interesting bit. If she ends up “responsible” for everything done by someone who was seen in the square with her that’s very different than only being responsible if she actually told people that something should be done.

    1. Well, the guardsman says that the perpetrator will be relentlessly persecuted, not that Scarlet will be hold responsible for her supporter’s actions. Unless of course she’s the one ordering the actions, but that’s clear.
