A small black box? My guess is that it’s something to do with Grondar’s “unacceptable” request. And Scarlet is getting sent on a difficult, and probably dangerous, mission related to this.
I don’t know why but the different colored text box combined with scarlet’s reaction makes the last panel look like a trigger word for a sleeper agent.
