  1. “Come along!” clearly transcends time and space.

    1. Ooh nice catch.

      Then I hope Bhaal doesn’t.

    2. BlackDragonSlayer

It has to be proceeded by a “Will you” 😛

  2. FIRE.

    1. It also explains Tibor’s calmness. I think this page comes with the implication that Tibor was told about the plan before being told where he can sleep.

      1. Maybe not the entire plan. But that he doesn’t have to worry about Scarlet.

    2. Also, the small black box is obviously the Internet™

  3. Minister Leyh speeks with a yellow speach bubble. Yellow stream confirmed?

  4. Only three days? She hasn’t even started writing on the walls. This cancels the Scarlet jailbreak plans, too bad. They did it twice in Gaia, so maybe Novil thinks that’s been done. So Scarlette is going to work for a government think tank or other small action group? She’s anti-Grondian, I think.

    1. Less anti-Grondian and more “pro-bring the eternal summer”

      1. Scarlet is very anti-Grondan, that should be obvious.

    2. >>>> This cancels the Scarlet jailbreak plans, too bad. They did it twice in Gaia, so maybe Novil thinks that’s been done.

Yes, no jailbreaks in Scarlet. It would be overkill to have another one play a central role in my fantasy comics.

  5. I believe I’ll have another drink.

  6. Aah… the plot (finally) thickens. If it isn’t a trick again.

    1. Assuming that the small black box isn’t the next cell that they shove Scarlet into.

  7. Scarlet has started not only a political movement, but also a new religion. I wrote a long time ago about Lavarel needing a new religion, one that promises redemption and salvation.
Darius Leyh (we learned his name in #054) seems to agree with this. But we don’t yet know what his true beliefs and intentions are. It’s not certain that they are good for Scarlet.
I’m eager to find out what the “Crimson Dusk Plan” (see #054) is and what the “Small Black Box” is.

  8. Reminds me of Deus Ex Machina in Sandra and Woo, though it was a small blue box. See strips 663, 668, and 842.

  9. A small black box? My guess is that it’s something to do with Grondar’s “unacceptable” request. And Scarlet is getting sent on a difficult, and probably dangerous, mission related to this.

    1. >>>> My guess is that it’s something to do with Grondar’s “unacceptable” request.

No, it has nothing to do with that.

  10. That would explain why their torture was… a joke.

    1. Don’t underestimate the psychological effects of bad tasting food.

    2. It wasn’t a joke, but it wasn’t very serious either.

  11. I don’t know why but the different colored text box combined with scarlet’s reaction makes the last panel look like a trigger word for a sleeper agent.

  12. Anyone else wondering whether the black box has a tiny model/diorama of the Machine in it?

    1. If that would be its only relevance that would be somewhat anti-climactic. We already have an illustration of the Machine in Abel’s book.

  13. This comic is going forward waaaaaaaaa- *cough* -aaaaay too slow!

    1. if you see the latest news update, the artist, Elli, had a baby a bit ago and that’s taking up a lot of her time. Sometimes life happens, n we shouldn’t expect webcomics to always be updating when the people behind em have to deal with it

    2. Writers and artists have lives. Especially when they provide their work for free.

    3. Please send your complaints to Robyn Anne Puukangas. But it will take a few years until she’ll be able to read it.
