I don’t know what the story is with this lady (or guy, whichever the case may be), but I love the tonberry nailed to the wall.
Occasional non sequitir cameos like that usually add spice to a comic.
It Would Be Best If This Sephiroth Imitation Was Albino.
Mystery character… well I’ll take my guesses I suppose.
First off, I think it could be Cloud’s mom, seems to fit the bill right, though that might just be the hair. Who knows? Maybe I just notice black hair?
Second off, Cloud’s sister who the cast page says we haven’t met yet. That might explain the likeness to the mother (ie, dark hair).
Third off, possibly another character who it says we haven’t seen yet, but yet who has been hinted at. Like maybe Michelle (Zoey’s friend).
Fourth off, actually… maybe Zoey as well now that I think about it, we have indeed seen her before (Larisa shut her gas off…). Wait a minute… dark hair… check, potential conflict because Larisa and her don’t like each other (hence possibly arrogant character)… check… Hmm.
Fifth off, someone totally new.
Done for now, good night/day everyone.
Hmm, I was thinking “time-traveling future Cloud”.
…maybe that’s a little too far out there.

Yes, it is.
and xLovelessx wins!!!
NO !!!! DON’T KILL TOMBERRIES they are not evul 🙁 just easilly missunderstood
If s/he is as fast as s/he seems, killing the Tonberry was unnecessary. They’re pretty darned slow and usually won’t hit until they’re right up on you…unless you hit them first.
Then again, the fact the mystery character could kill it proves that was one heck of a hit to get past the ridiculous level of resilence and still get in the death in one shot. I retract the previous statement.
it’s clouds mom: check the taggs
It looks like Cloud’s mom.
ARGH! Accursed Tonberries! I never had any trouble with them, but they were ANNOYING!
LOL Tonberry… :p
My bet is that it is Cloud’s mother.
It must be Zack. XD

NO! WHY TONBERRY WHY… Hey, I know they’re lethal, but I can’t help but want to cuddle with one…
Isn’t that Cloud’s mom?
I’m re-reading and it seems so obvious who is it now! xD
Is that….. Is that Ye Thuza?
O.M.G! Just was looking through random comics, and found this one. Then, I look at the tags. Wow.
*Plays ominous Final Fantasy 7 music*
Hehe, judging by the comments, I was right in thinking that was a Tonberry. 😛 Funny thing is, only FF games I’ve played are the very first one (and not very far at that unfortunately) and My Life as a Darklord… :I
That looks like Cloud’s mom…Just a wild guess though.
@ Someone:
Ninja Rogue just means a ninja archetype rather than, say, a pirate rogue.
Also, level 20 is probably way too powerful even for Ye Thuza. The level 1-20 range in D&D isn’t meant to map to the range of real life abilities, the upper end is for larger than life fantasy heroes who can perform feats quite impossible for real people – and I’m not just talking about the wizards. A lvl 20 barbarian, for example, can kick down a fortress gate, which is totally impossible in real life. Real people map roughly to the level 1-5 range, with most people being level 1, level 2-3 being exceptional. 3-4 is top of the population olympians or PhDs, and level 5 being once in a generation types who go down in history like Albert Einstein or Miyamoto Musashi.
I know the comic isn’t strictly realistic, what with the talking animals and whatnot, but it doesn’t strike me as the kind of epic fantasy setting where high-level characters would be at home either.

(For more detailed discussion, see Justin Alexander’s essay where I learned about this common misconception)
@ Someone:
Who says that it’s meant to be a D&D reference?
Rereading the comics now after a decade and now I wonder if the level 20 ninja/rogue is something linked to FFXIV (or other FF games) rather than DnD. What with the tonberry and all, and the rogue class transitioning to ninja once you reach level 30.
